Just A Teenage Dirtbag Baby

No Doubt About the Nineties

The 90s have never been so of the moment so say hello to tartan trousers, choker necklaces, platformed goth boots, halter necks, a severe fringe and of course a beautiful bindi to complete the look. We look to icons such as Gwen Stefani, Drew Barrymore and the class of Clueless to lead the way to becoming an ultimate grunge babe. Outfits should always look effortless, however layers are essential and if in doubt tie a lumberjack round your waist to add an extra element. Hair should be left to it's wild ways, tied into cute bunches, dyed in dreamy mermaid tones, and for an extreme 90s make-over, dreadlocks are a winner. Make-up should highlight your eyebrows but kept to a minimum, whilst adding a touch of pastel or glitter here and there. Shoes should always be big and chunky. And accessories should always match your outfit, you can't go far wrong with a scrunchie!!
Gwen's severe fringe and bindi are perfect grunge
Drew's oversized biker jacket is an ideal key piece

This outfit was put together using purely vintage items from COW VINTAGE! The outfit's key pieces are the dogtooth cigarette trousers, New Balance trainers and lumberjack checked shirt worn around the waist.

Inspired by the 90s street style babe on the right I have combined some perfect new and vintage items that are a must have in your 2013 A/W wardrobe. Bralet, Boyfriend Jacket, Tartan Trousers & Vinyl A-line Skirt- Topshop. Boots- Dr. Martens. Fishnet Socks- American Apparel. Chanel Rucksack- Vintage piece.
